Anthony Milford will not play for the Canberra Raiders ever again if he has his way. Milford told The Courier Mail in Brisbane that he was willing to sit out the 2014 NRL season ahead of his move to the Brisbane Broncos in 2015. Blake Ferguson has apologised to Canberra Raiders fans in an exclusive interview with the Sydney Daily Telegraph. The interview is basically what you would expect it to be. While there is no way to justify his behaviour or the fact that he just walked away from the Raiders and refuse to talk to them again,…
This is the moment when the NRL must say that enough is enough. They need to draw a line in the sand right here and make it clear to every single player that there is a point where you destroy your Rugby League career. The Canberra Raiders have officially sacked Blake Ferguson. Ferguson does not…

News that Blake Ferguson has been suspended by the Canberra Raiders after basically walking out on the club and not returning their calls comes as no surprise. Ferguson has a long list of issues. For all of his talent he has shown a complete disregard for the game. He has been completely disrespectful to the…
The Sydney Daily Telegraph is reporting that Blake Ferguson caused a few issues at a taxi rank after a night out on the town two in Sydney on Saturday night. Ferguson, who says he has given up the drink, was seen at a pub with Sharks players on the same night the Canberra Raiders were…
I’ve never really rated David Furner as a coach. I think when you look at the Canberra Raiders talent and depth as well as their erratic performances…something wasn’t working. Having said that, the Raiders find themselves in the finals race. In a few weeks time they could be challenging for the NRL title. I’ve written…
The Canberra Raiders are investigating reports that Blake Ferguson was out drinking while injured according to the Sydney Morning Herald. The Raiders, like most team, have rules against players drinking while they are out injured. While Ferguson has admitted being at a pub, but denied drinking while there, you just have to wonder at what…

It seems the NRL’s tough stance against off field incidents is set to continue with the league putting the brakes on plans for Blake Ferguson to return to the field as soon as this weekend. The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that the NRL will wants Blake Ferguson to complete a 4 week alcohol rehabilitation…
They either look like world beaters, or the worst side in the competition. There is no in between! The Raiders are a strange side in that they seem to always be struggling to take that next step. In the past injuries have killed the clubs chances, player behaviour hasn’t helped, and the club has become…

Josh Dugan and Blake Ferguson are two very talented footballers. Both are athletic players that add an explosive element to any team they play in. They both bring a real x factor to the game, they can make something out of nothing. Normally these qualities are something all teams would crave. However when it comes…
There is something to be said about getting the picture of another mans face tattooed on your thigh. It shows a level commitment and dedication to questionable decisions that not everyone has the ability to carry through the course of their entire life. That is where Josh Dugan is different to you and I… Josh Dugan is…
It has got to be frustrating to be a Canberra Raiders fan. Over the last few years the club has produced an incredible number of high quality junior players, and depth is not a problem at all at the club. In fact, few teams in the NRL have the type of depth in the halves…
The Canberra Raiders have beaten the Cronulla Sharks 34-16 in front of 24,450 at Canberra Stadium. This was a really entertaining game to watch and early on the Raiders had it all over the Sharks. The Sharks love an arm wrestle though and for all the quality posession and field position the Raiders had, the…
Josh, Josh, Josh…. You know, Canberra Raiders fans don’t ask for much from you. They kinda know what the deal by now. Basically, you’re a good fullback, but every time you get tackled you get up slower than Apollo Creed in Rocky II. You’re more injury prone than Mr Glass from Unbreakable. Hell, you missed…
He is off contract at the end of the season and for the last few years, he has been less than enthusiastic about re-signing with the Canberra Raiders. Now, news has emerged that Josh Dugan is facing speeding charges after being clocked doing 105kph in a 60kph zone. On top of this, Dugan was unlicensed,…
Its official, Joel Monaghan has apologized for the picture taken of him performing a sex act with a dog. He will be sacked by the Canberra Raiders some time over the next few days. There isn’t really much more that can be said about this whole thing. I mean, obviously pissed or not, Joel Monaghan…

Remember a couple of months ago when I wrote off the Canberra Raiders because they were just too inconsistent? Basically I said, I like them, but they can’t win the title because they can’t string performances together. When they do however, look out! The Raiders last night become the first NRL clubs to win six…
They were once one of the NRL’s powerhouse clubs. The team everyone else wanted to be like, and yet over the last decade the Canberra Raiders have found themselves having to make do. Struggling with financial problems and unable to attract big name players, the club looked at taking a different direction. Sure it caused…
I’ve always been a fan of Terry Campese. Even when he was struggling, I felt like he had what it takes to be a very handy player. To go from possibly being without a club in the middle of last year to making the 2008 World Cup squad was an amazing rise. He’s still raw…
I don’t know if he has just taken a huge reality bite or what, but all of a sudden Todd Carney is desperate to get back to playing Rugby League again. His visa to go and play over in Super league has been rejected, the Raiders don’t want him back, and the NRL has said…
It was a must win game for both teams in Canberra today. As I wrote ion my NRL Tips on the Sports Freak website, I felt as though one of either Canberra or Penrith would make the finals, but I didn’t think both of them would. Canberra has been in great form the last few…
