Glenn Stewart Escapes Suspension And Is Free To Play In The Grand Final

Manly Sea Eagles back rower Glenn Stewart is free to play in the 2013 Grand Final despite being charged for a high tackle on Sam Burgess in the Sea Eagles semi final win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Stewart was charged with a grade one careless high tackle which carries a 75 point penalty. With a clean record and no carry over points this means Stewart will not miss a game. A player must amass 100 points to miss a match.

At this time of the year it takes a lot to get suspended. To be fair to Stewart, it didn’t look like there was a great deal in his tackle on Burgess and its good to see the match review committee felt the same way.

Stewart is so important to the Sea Eagles success. He is a real leader of the Sea Eagles pack so to have him available is great news for the Manly faithful.
