The Queensland Lineup For Game Two Of The 2013 State Of Origin Series

The Queensland Rugby League team have made a few changes to the team that lost the first game of the 2013 State Of Origin series.

Ashley Harrison and David Shillington have been dropped in a strong statement by Mal Meninga while Daly Cherry-Evans and Josh Papalii make their State Of Origin debuts.

Here is a look at the official Queensland State Of Origin team for game two to be held at Suncorp Stadium:

QLD State Of Origin Team – Game Two
1. Billy Slater
2. Brent Tate
3. Greg Inglis
4. Justin Hodges
5. Darius Boyd
6. Johnathan Thurston
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Matt Scott
9. Cameron Smith (C)
10. Nate Myles
11. Chris McQueen
12. Sam Thaiday
13. Corey Parker

14. Daly Cherry-Evans
15. Ben Te’o
16. Matt Gillett
17. Josh Papalii

I have to say, I like the changes they have made. This lineup looks like it has a bit more impact, especially off the bench, and I think their mobility will be helped by the changes too.

Chris McQueen has done a sensational job to force his way into the starting lineup. Corey Parker I’m still not sold on but his size will be an asset without a doubt.

It will be interesting to see how Cherry-Evans is used off the bench. As for Josh Papalii, I can’t wait to see him renew his rivalry with Paul Gallen on a much bigger stage!

  1. Hi from sunny St.Helens really enjoying keeping up with all the news from Aus looking forward to the World Cup especially taking my eight year old grandson to watch the best R.L. team in the world must admit that we need desperatly to win this trophy I have been watching Saints since 1955 and although there have been some low points S.L. sort of brought about a new stimulas however for one reason or another the games have got very tame and the intensity that once prevailed is now sadly lacking Well thats enough from me for now just glad to be on board

  2. You will remember the last time England won the Rugby League World Cup! 😀 I hope your grandson enjoys the experience. I’m hoping I get a chance to get over to the UK to see a few of the games myself! 😀
