Willie Mason Wants Out As Dogs Look To Be A Club In Crisis

Well it’s all happening at the Bulldogs at the moment!

Fresh of having to deny rumour that CEO Malcolm Noad was about to be sacked come the news that Willie Mason wants out….immediately!

While the reports about why Mason wants out vary from wanted to take time out to take up boxing to falling out with management over a possible fine, it seems the one thing thats for certain is that Mason has played his last game for the club.

It goes without saying that the Australian Test star is a player just about every club in the game would want to sign up. Its hard to say who would have the space available to take him on board at this time of the year though.

Castleford fans should settle down. Mason wont be playing for bloody Castleford when he can just about pick which club he plays for.

St Helens have been rumoured to be making a move for him for some time and they would have to be one of the favorites.

The West Tigers have some room to spare and have been in the market for a center, but if they could sign Mason, they may be willing to promote one of their youngsters instead, and they have plenty of them.

Wigan will of course come into calculations.

I don’t know if they any anywhere near the cap space available, but the Cronulla Sharks may be an option as Mason is a big fan of Ricky Stuart and recently said the Australian coach brought out the best in him.

The St George/Illawarra Dragons would also kill to get Mason on their books. I wonder if the money they plan to waste on Wendel Sailor as a forward is being questioned now….what a stupid club!

What ever the case, it will make for an interesting few weeks as we see where he ends up.
