Sonny Bill Williams And Ben Barba Set To Drive NRL Season Openers

Channel 9 has submitted a request to the NRL to show the Sydney Roosters vs South Sydney Rabbitohs on March the 6th and the Brisbane Broncos vs the Canterbury Bulldogs on March the 7th according to a report today in the Sydney Daily Telegraph.

The match ups will see the defending NRL premiers led by Sonny Bill Williams taking on their traditions rivals in the Rabbitohs, while Ben Barba will take on the Bulldogs, the club he walked out on last season.

Channel 9 and Fox Sports are both asked to submit requests to the NRL in regards to what they would like to see in the NRL season draw each year. Those requests are added to requests that clubs make and the general needs of the draw, they are all put into a computer, and the draw is formulated.

It is expected that the NRL will release its 2014 draw in the coming weeks.
