The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that Israel Folau will re-sign with the ARU for a further two season.
The deal is apparently just waiting for a few loose ends to be tied up by the ARU and the deal with be announced shortly.
Folau was linked heavily to the Bulldogs over the last few months and it was thought that losing Ben Barba would allow the Bulldogs to up their offer for Folau to get them over the line.
If Rugby League misses out on Folau once again it will be a great shame. It would be a terrible indictment on the National Rugby League who continue to be the only sporting organisation in Australia that doesn’t go out of it’s way to sign or retain it’s stars.
