Does The Mainstream Media Have Any Idea What NRL Supporters Are Interested In?

It was the heavyweight showdown between two old guys to decide who would be victorious over the other. There was also a footy game to be played between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Brisbane Broncos!

More and more we are seeing mainstream media focus on NRL stories that just do not resonate with the vast majority of Rugby League supporters.

From the “coaching chaos” at the end of 2018 that was really just a few coaches switching teams in what was overall a pretty settled off season for coaching movement, to the “Cleary vs the Wests Tigers” headlines, the media seems to be wrapped up in its own little echo chamber that has no real connection to what Rugby League supporters actually find interesting.
