The Sydney Daily Telegraph is reporting that Issac Luke will join the St George/Illawarra Dragons for the 2020 NRL season.
Luke would be a bit of an interesting signing for the club, but it would signal that the club feels that Jack de Belin is unlikely to be available for a large part of the 2020 season.
There has been a number of rumours as to where Luke would end up after leaving the New Zealand Warriors. I have to say I didn’t think he would end up at the Dragons next year. A lot of people had him heading over to Super League, and Luke himself had tweeted that he would be open to joining the Wests Tigers.
With Dragons and having gone through a really rough season, this is unlikely to be the type of move that will sooth the anger among the supporters of the club.
Luke will be a solid veteran signing, a very good backup, and a very handy replacement when Cameron McInnes is not available.
