News that Craig Wing is being chased by the Penrith Panthers shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone.
Wing, who’s form has not been great over the last 12 months, has found himself out of favor at Bondi and is pretty much being shown the door by the Roosters.
The Panthers meanwhile are still looking for a replacement 5/8 as Preston Campbell starts packing his bags as he looks to move to the Gold Coast next season.
So would Craig Wing be a good fit at Penrith?
Personally as a Panthers fan, I’d like to see the move happen. The last thing I want to see if a players played out of position to cover for the loss of Campbell.
Meanwhile in other player movements, the Bunnies have gone on a spending press in signing Kiwi trio David Kidwell, Nigel Vagana and Roy Asotasi. I think Kidwell and Asotasi are good buys although I have to say Nigel Vagana’s form over the last couple of seasons has been nothing to write home about.
The next big buy for a club is likely to be Nate Myles who is being chased by a number of teams and is likely to leave the Bulldogs.
And then we had news this week that Jamie Lyon had FINALLY signed that long rumored contract with the Manly Sea Eagles.
