The Bulldogs are set to get a preview of life without Ben Barba with a grade one high ankle sprain set to rule the 2012 Dally M Medal winner out for up to five weeks.
Barba injured his ankle scoring a try in the Bulldogs 40-12 demolition of the Parramatta Eels on Friday night.
While there is a lot of speculation about Barba’s future at the club, his form hasn’t been all that bad. His loss will be a big one for the Bulldogs to overcome and just add to a season in which the club has copped blow after blow just as they seem to get their best team on the field.
Sam Perrett played fairly well at fullback when Barba left the field on Friday night but there is no doubt the Bulldogs lose their x-factor when Barba is not in their lineup.
