The hopes of Queensland supporters took a blow today when halfback Daly Cherry-Evans failed to train with his Queensland team mates today.
Cherry-Evans had targeted today as his deadline to be fit, and with Ben Hunt training in his place, things aren’t looking good for the Maroons halfback.
Of course Laurie Daley has been telling anyone that wants to listen that he believes Daly Cherry-Evans will play no matter what.
Queensland have their backs against the wall and Cherry-Evans is a big game player. I think they will give him until the last minute to be fit to play before going with Hunt in the halves if needed.
In better news for Queensland, it looks like Greg Inglis is a certain starter. Inglis can turn a game all on his own. Losing him to injury as well would have been terrible for Queensland’s chances.
