2008 Rugby League World Cup Venues Finalised

The RLIF has finally announced all of the Venues for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.

Sydney will host the official opening ceremony followed by the big clash between Australia and New Zealand.

Its fantastic to see Canberra, Parramatta, Penrith and Wollongong all hosting matches. These smaller venues will allowed fans in areas that would normally be over looked by major events being able to be a part of the World Cup.

With games played all along the eastern Australia it looks like a well thought out, well planned competition.

Helping to make the 100th year of Australian Rugby League, the World Cup will be just another event not to be missed. With a forward thinking competition format that will make every game important, and clever venues selction, the IRL have done a pretty good job so far of organizing the event.

While the line up or teams has yet to be finalized, with qualifiers held over the next two months, you can now find just about all of the information you need to plan your World Cup trips.
